The new MICHELIN patented tread compound improves tyre longevity and resistance to abrasion. Drove the tyres for 1000km. All aspects surpassed Primacy 4 which I had previously. The silence from the tyres is unbeaten, especially when going over speed stripes, it is able to suppress the noise well. Dry and wet braking are equally good. Definitely the best premium touring tyre compared to competitors such as Continental CPC7 or Bridgestone Turanza 005.

Michelin Primacy 5 225/45 R17 94W 0925 Purchased 4 pc of the above tyres. The Michelin Primacy 5 tyres are excellent - comfortable, smooth, and very quiet. Test drove over 68 km after installation from east to west and back to the east again across Singapore from Simei to Changi Village to Ghim Moh and back to Eunos in dry, dusty and rainy conditions. Longevity cannot be assessed currently. Verdict: 🛞 🛞 10/10 🛞 🛞

(1) - Silence and comfort: External tests conducted by TUV Rheinland Thailand Ltd, on Michelin's request, using 225/50R17 on a Honda Accord e:HEV Y2022 in November 2024 at Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center, Chachoengsao, Thailand. MICHELIN Primacy 5 (new tire) compare between MICHELIN Primacy4st and other premium brands. (Silence and comfort - Thanks to the MICHELIN Silent Rib Gen-3 technology).

(2) Wet braking performance for new and worn tire: External tests conducted by TUV Rheinland Thailand Ltd, on Michelin's request, from 80-0 km/h, using 225/50R17 on a Honda Accord e:HEV Y2022 in November 2024 at Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center, Chachoengsao, Thailand. MICHELIN Primacy 5 stopped 8% (new tire) and 13% (worn tire) shorter than other premium brands in average. Worn tire means tire buffed on machine to the depth of 2 mm remaining tread depth.

(3) - Longevity - External tests conducted by DEKRA TEST CENTER, on Michelin's request, using 205/55R16 on Golf VIII-5 doors in July 2024 at DEKRA Test Center, France. MICHELIN Primacy 5 lasted 24% longer than other premium brands in average.

(4) Fuel efficiency - Rolling Resistance tests conducted on machine by Thailand Automative institute, on Michelin's request, in November 2024 at Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center, Chachoengsao, Thailand using 255/50 R17. MICHELIN Primacy 5 has 13% of rolling resistance better than other premium brands in average.
